ESG

Castile's ESG framework sets out how environmental, social and governance responsibilities are considered across company operations and development decisions.

Long-term prosperity depends on environment, social cohesion and governance.

Castile's ESG Policy states that the company recognises its responsibilities are long term in nature, and that long-term prosperity depends on a healthy environment, social cohesion and good governance within the company's operations.

The Board is responsible for ensuring the appropriateness of the ESG framework, while the Managing Director is responsible for ensuring operational and investment decisions meet the requirements of the policy to the extent reasonably able.

Three clear ESG dimensions.

  • Environmental factors such as greenhouse gas emissions, climate change, resource use, waste management, water scarcity and biodiversity.
  • Social factors including health and safety, labour and human rights, supply chain conduct and community relations.
  • Governance factors covering board composition, executive accountability, audit, controls and shareholder alignment.

The ESG Policy provides the formal framework for the company's environmental, social and governance responsibilities, including how oversight and operational accountability are assigned.
